The College has spacious buildings, grounds and play fileds. The whole estate is spread over an area of 115 acres. Behind the main building, attached to it are the Stow Hall and the Sarangarh Dining Hall. The Show Hall is used for daily morning assembly, lectures / talks by visitors and for other cultural programmes. M.P. Bhawan, Hospital, Shukla Bhavan, Utkal Bhavan (Guest House), Sonepur Pavilion, Libray Building, Cricket Pavilion, Temple, Staff Quarters, Dairy, Swimming Pool, The Centenary Jashpur Hall, Billiard Room & the Staff Club, etc. are some of the other constructions catering to our requirements

  BOARDING HOUSES

The boarding houses are administered by House Masters, House Tutors and Matrons (Junior Section only). The College has four boarding houses.

1. Rajendra Das Boarding House (R.D.B.H)
         (For Boys in Classes X to XII)

2.  Balram Das Boarding House (B.D.B.H)
          (For Boys in Classes VII to IX)

3.  Indira Gandhi Boarding House (I.G.B.H)
        (For Boys in Classes I to VI)
4.  Priyadarshini Girl's Boarding House (P.G.B.H) 
         (For all Girls)

 

Tagore House

Madhyapradesh Bhawan

The Rajendra Das Boarding House and the Balram Das Boarding House are named after the donors of the State of Nandgaon and they constitute the main building. The Tagore House was opened by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India in 1963.

 PRIYADARSHINI GIRL'S HOSTEL

The Management of the school has provided hostel accomodation also to the girls from July 1994. A separate hostel namely Priyadarshini Girl's Boarding House has been constructed for the girls with a separate Warden to take full care of them. The girls are provided meals in their boarding house and also have a separate medical ward for them.

 DINING

The College has a big Dining Hall namely Sarangarh Dining Hall which was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the then President of India, where over 500 students can be served meals at a time. All Boarders irrespective of caste, colour and creed, have their meals in the Mess. The Mess provides both vegetarian & non-vegetarian food cooked in separate kitchens and served on separate tables. Each meal is supervised by the Mess Manager and Dining-in-teachers, who impart table manners to the students.

The Day Scholars from Class VI and above are served meals in the College Mess during school hours without any extra payment. The Day Scholars in lower classes however, bring their own Tiffin or dine in the College Mess against payment.

 HOSPITAL

The College has a fully equipped 30 bed hospital with a qualified Resident Medical Officer, a compounder and two trained nurses living inside the campus. Expert physicians, eye specialists, dentists etc. are contacted as and when the need arises. Full medical examination of every student is taken up by the hospital staff and their records maintained. Parents & local guardians of the boarders are immediately informed by the College Doctor regarding the illness of the ward through letter / fax / telephone if their ward is hospitalised.

 GUEST HOUSE

Utkal Bhavan - the College Guest House has 18 double beded rooms with a drawing room and a dining room of its own. Reservation for accommodation in the Guest House can be made by sending, an application to that effect to the Bursar, well in advance, subject to vacancy in the Guest House.

 DAY SCHOOL

The Management of the College has decided to open a separate Day School, within the College premises in near future when all Day Scholars of the College shall be subsequently shifted to the Day School and then the residential school shall have only the boarders.
