The Cambridge Examination continued in
this College till 1963 and later on an Indian Board with the
local syndicate in Delhi was established to conduct the
examination on the Cambridge pattern.
The
College at present is affiliated to the Council for the Indian
School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi and prepares the
students for ICSE (Class X) and ISC
(Class XII) Examinations.
At
present, the College has classes from Nursery to XII with each
class having two to three sections, and each section having
about 25-30 students - an ideal strength for effective
teaching. The students take Class X Examination at about the
age of sixteen.
The medium of instruction is
English
but equally strong emphasis is laid on
Hindi also. The subjects taught in the normal curriculum are
English, Hindi / Oriya, Sanskrit,
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Electronics,
Computer Science, Accounts, Business Maths, Music, Fine Arts
etc., Thus the College boasts of
having all the three major streams i.e
Science, Humanities & Commerce.
The subjects taught are prone to alteration as laid down by
the Council for the ISC Examinations, New Delhi from time to
time. |
